The first episodes were great and then it just became a big old mess.
The artstyle was great, the OST was great, the characters were great, the animation was great (at least in the first episodes and some segments of the later ones) but the plot was just awful.

Anyway, fun show, I'll rewatch it some time, though I still wish it lived up more to the hype of the first two episodes.
Every episode was packed with so many details and stuff happening (and a few cities in the prologue narration didn't even make it in) that it makes me wonder they were aiming for 2 cours and instead got cut short by the poor ratings.
It also started getting pretty QUALITY towards the end.

Again, I never said it was good, just that it served its purpose. It was a reason to keep the girls moving from place to place, and for shit to happen at those places. Although complaining about aliens out of nowhere is a bit rich when the first episode had a goddamn superhero fight with themed explosions. They could have done more with the stones, but the focus really was more on the girls' relationships and whatever problem the various locations had.
It was good for me and I had fun watching it. It's a shame that the budget completely ended in the final episode though.
