I think dubs get a bad rep, I like dubs if it's a casual sort of anime I don't have to get really involved in, it lets me play a video game at the same time. But Subs are better in general.
Dubs are generally pretty good. When there is a choice between sub and dub, i always pick dub. And not because i cant read or some shit like that, but because i like to watch anime in english (i like the english voice actors alot). Thank haruhi, that so many anime are dubbed nowadays...

As a dub fag with shut taste, I can say for a fact that the worst dub is for Prisma Illya. Even though most of the VAs were okay, and Ruby was amazing, Illya's voice was nails on a chalkboard bad.
I don't know why people loved TTGL's english dub. Kittan's VA was just plain awful, as was Kamina's. Yuri was the only one who seemed decent, and that was only when he was yelling.
Also, the GITS movie had some pretty bad acting, but it got better as the series went on, especially Batou's VA. Not to mention Crispin Freeman is great all around.
