If you used a dictionary, pls note that the "ki" at the end is a part of the word. Don't let this discourage you though, your translation seems fine otherwise.

This reminded me of how I dislike translating stuff. Especially with languages with as much differences as English and Japanese you essentially have to rewrite the text or it just ends up looking like shit, and I'm not a particularly good writer. I'd rather just read stuff than wonder how it should sound in other languages.

Also, there are only 2 fish worth catching, the English fish and the Japanese fish. You've already managed one through the virtue of being born somewhere lucky or playing games as a kid, what's another few years for another one?
All you need is the discipline to work on it for half an hour a day.
Sure, it'll take years to reach fluency. But it's not like you wake up one morning and know everything. It's a gradual process, with more material becoming available as time goes by.
