If he was in it for the money (which he wouldn't be, because he's living off Sailor Moon, YYH and HxH royalties already), he would've done one more chapter before the last hiatus. That tiny bit of extra effort would've given him a full tank's worth of material, and he'd be cashing in off those sales. The irregular release pattern makes it obvious he's just sick or sporadically unmotivated.
