It would've been Nanoha and Fate again but Vivid a shit. Since there was a season of Symphogear this year it defaults to these two instead. Married in all but name couples are the best.

But as you can guess, Yuuko has to make sure Natsuki doesn't cheat by bending her knees.
And, like any normal girl, both their push-ups start looking wonky after a while. So, it's only natural that Yuuko would accuse Natsuki of cheating, which obviously leads to an argument.
And naturally, to prove she's right, Yuuko moves one her hands to Natsuki's knees, but after doing so many pushups, it only makes sense that she would lose her balance.
And being in such a small, enclosed room, there's not much space to do a head-to-head push-up contest, so obviously Natsuki and Yuuko are very close to each other.
Consequently, when Yuuko falls, she falls onto Natsuki. And because of that, both of them are now laying on top each together, a mess of tangled limbs and hair: hot, sticky, and sweaty, gasping for breaths.
So what's left to do to but cool off in a bath,
but you know them, everything has to be a competition. So they get into a scorching hot bath together, trying to see who can last the longest.
And you know, because the bath is so small, they're forced to sit in a cramped, back-to-back position, only being able to listen to the other's breathing and the occasionally drip of the facet.
And after spending a long time in the bath, they both emerge, exhausted, red, and pruney, so exhausted that they just immediately collapse both completely naked and sopping wet into the same bed and fall asleep in each other's arms.
A completely average, platonic friendship between the most normal of friends.
