Honestly, it depends who you are-- anime is not exactly a lifetime hobby, there is not nearly enough value in the entire medium to last someone 20, 30, or 40 years of viewership-- it would probably only take about 7 to 9 years of "moderate enthusiasm" to get through every single high-value anime series. So, as an American anime enthusiast there are only three reasons to watch this:
1) You are new-ish to anime and this is one of your first battle harems.
2) You love the Battle Harem genre.
3) You are now more of a historical fan of anime (20+ years of actively watching it) and like seeing how genres change.
As a Japanese youth (who this show is marketed at) there are way more reasons to watch it. But as an American who has seen many battle harems you can safely pass. In Japan you might get left out of classroom conversations or something similar. In the US that's not really going to happen. So you can skip it!

That's pretty much it, because these newer LNs don't want to take the time to build up the story like ZnT did. There was a whole arc for Louise figuring out her powers and it was foreshadowed from the start. And you see why they make fun of her and call her zero, because she fails at doing even the most basic things other students can do.
But in these newer magic academy LNs the protag is mocked for literally no reason. He never fails in any meaningful way like Louise did. Or if he does "fail" it's in some stupid contrived way that doesn't matter because the story focuses on something else completely.
It's a side effect of these magic academy LNs having very poorly fleshed out settings. The school just sort of exists because "reasons" and it's always more about competition between students than anything else.

Most recently we had Rakudai where the MC was called "worst one" and made fun of for being rank F. Even though he was so strong he became undefeated in their school's tournaments. It turns out they literally gamed the curriculum to only test things he sucks at, thus making him "the worst one" even though he's actually the best.
Oh and don't get me started on Mahouka with Jesus Onii-sama. Similar to Rakudai: school's testing parameters make him seem weak because they test literally the only two things he happens to not be perfect at. The mockery and hazing doesn't last long in Mahouka though, cause Jesus Onii-sama's godly nature becomes apparent to the people who know him soon enough, and they fall to their knees in worship.
Anti-magic also had it doubly. The entire platoon was known as the "loser squad" and the MC was also made fun of for using a sword (everyone else used guns). Though in Anti-magic they did sorta live up to their name cause they failed every mission. Except the missions turned out to not mean much since in combat they are of course unbeatable and amazing.
