First of all, he looks 100% like Guts/Caska.
Second of all, he cliged to both of them, and Caska has clear maternal instincts towards him. Could be just to any child, but the point still stands.
Also, he saved his potential parents a couple of times, just like the demon child used to do.
Also, remember that one scene when the kid falls of Guts back and both Guts and Caska catches them? Everyone comments how they look like a family, seems like a pretty obvious foreshadowing. Oh, and the kid's age fits perfectly with that theory.
There are some things that don't add up for me though.
I don't see how the child could possibly exist if it's actual body is used as a vessel for Griffith. Maybe somehow he can separate his astral body, perhaps that would even make sense that he looks like the idea of their child, thus not like the demon child.
And I don't understand how could it be so powerful. It can clearly manipulate od, and even got Guts easily from the armour, while even Shrieke had trouble with that. But on the other hand the demon child also did something simmilar guarding Caska from all the ghosts.

I think it's a bit more complex than that but more along those lines. Personally, I think that the reason Caska acted the way she did during the Reunion was because she saw her child and not Griffith. Referencing what Skull Knight said about her not wanting what Guts wants, she may not want to kill the body since it can ruin the boys chance at being given his body back, and reuniting with Caska.
Since Griffith took the child's body, his soul or astral body had to go somewhere, and I am guessing that his human form and powers are an inheritance from the events of both eclipses. I begin to wonder since Griffith has the boys body as a vessel and there is clearly something of the kid lingering inside, would that mean that the lingering part of the child is leaching power from Griffith and feeding it to his astral body?

Kind of pointless to watch the anime if you already read the manga. It's very simmilar, and you won't get any fast paced action due to crappy animation. But the music's good, so there's that.
As for the movies, I wouldn't recommend watching them if you don't know the story, since they ommit a lot. But after the manga you might enjoy them, if you can stomach awful CGI.
