Ok so I'm still catching up to the latest chapters but what was the point of introducing Vamirio as the protagonist at the beginning of the manga if she disappears after few chapters?

It's like that. This series wasn't scanlated, was under the radar, and then suddenly an /a/ guy shows up and scans it, all by himself, and it raises the profile of the series.
It also helps that manga has some decent writing, endearing characters, and surprises.

OPM's early chapters are extremely week. It's ONE's style: the setup is done in a comedic setting and then there's a smooth transition toward more and more serious topics. Are you blind or do you just not know what "QUALITY" means? The strongest thing about One Punch Man was its animation and the visuals, it's why it received only praise on that front. Helck has a build up from the beginning. The setting is mundane at first considering there are rpg levels. But that gets quickly over written as the world building is seen from characters perspective and seeing what is wrong and the mystery unfolding as to what is going on. The comedy aspect is having a humorous punch line to whatever seems comical like a tsukkomi. It does not seem old as the same jokes are not repeated and comes only occasionally. The characters are unique to us as they do not follow a particular archetype alot of times and their personalities are fleshed out in a positive way. By now, the quality of the story is greater than OPM, to me. I could say more, do you want me to?

You get the normal idea of monsters attacking and invading cities. But rather, the problem lies with how the world can respond. It cannot just take place in japan.
