Slowpoke as i sometimes am i just finished this one. Read the manga as well as it was scanned but either i have read some chapters drunk or just plain forgotten due to the long ass time between releases but i did not remember their time at school to end like this at all.
I know it deviated from the source material in some points and put it off until now for that reason. Did not expect to like it as much as i did, logical fallacies be damned!

No i love dogs, but that dog in particular added NOTHING to the series and just ruined the scenes focused on him.
The series had a neat concept and the first episode was infact alright but anytime they were in serious trouble they would magically find a solution to the problem

The Medication did infact exist and worked in the very early stages of the infection. Just shows that the government knew about the possibility of this shit getting out, still severely underestimating the speed of it spreading out!

Is this worth finishing? I've been keeping up with and thoroughly enjoying the manga since mid 2014 but dropped the anime after a couple episodes because it just felt kind of bland comparatively.
