Dimension W certainly has the distinct visual look and rather unique story, but it's ultimately 'robot learns to be human while loner rebel without a cause learns to accept change and opens up to others' plot. I'm probably going to change flak for this, but Koukaku no Pandora has a very unique premise and zany characters, but I've read/seen enough of this (i.e Gakuen Alice) except instead of supernatural powers, it's robots.
On the flip side, I had fully expected Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! to be SI harem power-fantasy but ended up laughing at most of the gags of parodying the hell out of the genre.
