Evangelion and there is it's equivalent in book form already.
So by becoming End of The World, he lost whatever his powers as Dios were.
Anthy on the other hand kept all her power.
Because the world is crying out for a prince to save it the world ends up hating Akio and Anthy for taking the prince from it.
Anthy then takes all the pain of the world instead of Akio.
Akio's master plan is to find someone to become Anthy's prince. Then he will steal their power and use it to unlock his own lost power.
Am I getting it right?
