Yeah same here. When it just aired, I actually dropped it and only picked it up when the BDs were out, and i had nothing better to do. Turned out to be a great ride.
Good for you if it affected you that much I guess, but I'd wager you haven't seen a lot of anime. The quality was consistently great, and I enjoyed the character interaction a fair bit, but it didn't leave that big of an impression in the end emotionally. It was just a good show that I liked. ARIA made a much bigger impact when it comes to goals and life progressing.
