Why is Tsukihime so much better than Fate, /a/? Seriously.
Tsukihime developed the girls more, and still had a more entertaining MC than Fate which focused on Shirou.
Better girls. Hell, actual girls. Girls that actually look like girls, rather than boys in skirts.
>Liking KnK downgrade
At least shitpost about good series
It seems to me you're starting to forget what Tsukihime really looked like.
If it's so good, howcome it's dead?
>Nasu: So, for our debut eroge, how about we just take another companys eroge, and mix it with our own ideas recycled from a past work?
>Takeuchi: And maids!
This was the short but accurate story of how Tsukimeme came to be.
Sure, it had shitty art, but at least the girls looked like crudely-drawn girls, with their N64 polygon busts. Fate had slightly better art, but its girls look like they could've gone either way.
It's so bad not even Nasu wants to have anything to do with the original anymore. That's why he's remaking it, to correct his past blunders. But even then, he keeps procrastinating because coming into contact with Twilighthime gives him physical pain from cringing so hard.
Kara no Kyoukai > Tsukihime > Fate
No, it just captures urban fantasy better than the latter two.
And Shiki a cutest if we aren't counting Apocrypha.
Scare quotes, shudder quotes, or sneer quotes are quotation marks placed around a word or phrase to signal that a term is being used in a nonstandard, ironic, or otherwise special sense. They may be used to imply that a particular expression is not necessarily how the author would have worded a concept. Scare quotes may serve a function similar to verbally preceding a phrase with the expression "so-called", they may imply skepticism or disagreement, or that the writer intends an opposite sense of the words enclosed in quotes.
If I could read it, I would probably agree.
Mahoyo = DDD > KnK > Fate > Tsuki.
Horrible writing. Not so interesting main plot. More nukige parts. MC is more designed for self-insert. Most fights are asspulls.
Great WoD atmosphere (real Nasuverse). Great characters. MC is more proactive. Good humor. Some fights are really intense. MADNESS
Kara no Kyoukai is the most painfully Nasu of all the three. What it lacks in godawful shoehorned comedy scenes, it more than makes up in absolutely meaningless juvenile circle-talking about philosophy and semantics. In my opinion Kara no Kyoukai fails at what it tries to be while FSN and Tsukihime succeed. Tsukihime and Fate pull off the magic harem for otaku pretty well, while KnK is far more ambitious. The problem is that Nasu is an otaku to the bone, he can't write anything more thought-provoking than Tsukihime and Fate. But that doesn't stop KnK from working on easily impressed youtube and MAL reviewers. Slap a dark color palette and have the characters talk in circles about stuff that sounds fancy but has no substance, and you have yourself a hidden gem for intelligent anime watchers like KnK.
>the tiny Japanese schoolkid bullies an ancient old vampire lord to tears because he's just that EPIC
Near side was awful in the original and will be even worse in the remake when Shiki looks like a beta otaku lead.
>not able to appreciate the early 2000 doujin work style
It got an anime, it was shit and anime world collectively decided to never touch this garbage again and made the far superior Kara no Kyoukai. Tsukishitters can meme all they want, it doesn't change this fact. The world does not need both Tsukihime and KnK, and if one had to choose which deserves to exist, everyone except horny 15 year olds would choose KnK over the juvenile genderbent Twilight.
Friendly reminder Arc is smarter, prettier, much cuter and way stronger than Saber.
No. Takeichi was learning how to draw. He's 2000 works are average beginner shit.
>They're all very rough looking and weird
Yeah, because they couldn't draw for shit. The styles are completely different, the only thing they have in common is that they're bad drawings. Actually 2hu and Higurashi I could see the similarity, in the sense that they're only vaguely human shaped, but Tsukihime is nothing like them.
It absolutely fucking isn't, though. Is it cooler? Yeah. Is it better? No.
>Arcueid's entire route was a piss in the wind
>the end of Ciel's route was nebulous bullshit
>the ending of Kohaku's route, with Akiha sparing Shiki and Kohaku on a pure convenient whim
I'm Tsukihime fanboy too, but come on. Say what you want about F/SN, but at least it had the decency to resolve its conflicts properly.
He caught her completely off guard. You can count beings that are able to actually hurt her on one hand.
Well, to be honest, Arc isn't the brightest girl in the universe either.
The only people who think Tsukihime is genuinely better than F/SN are deluded contrarians. Ask any Tsukihime faggot why they think it's better, and all they can come out with is "m-muh atmosphere". An atmosphere which is, by the way, predicated on the ineptitude of early Nasu and Takeuchi.
>all they can come out with is "m-muh atmosphere"
Y-yeah, that's pretty much me. I'm not going to argue which is better, I enjoyed Tsukihime very much, while finishing Fate route of FSN was a pain in the ass - maybe because I've seen FSN anime. I watched UBW movie too and I'm kind of afraid of starting another route, since I already know the most important parts of it.
I'm playing a doujin nukige so underground I had to buy it from dlsite because this version didn't get uploaded on the internet.
Is that experienced enough for you?
I was just a kid. I didn't even know what VN is.
ITT we're discussing two specific VNs: Tsukihime and FSN. Nothing else is required, but I'm pretty damn sure that in order to compare two games you need to finish both of them.
>Why is Tsukihime so much better than Fate
There's people that are serious about this.
Non-supernatural murder mystery with actual emphasis on protagonist solving the mystery himself is better.
More like you have shit taste and try to hide it by calling everything that disagrees with you bait.
>People legitimately fap to anything with this ugly cunt in
Already saw it twice, nasufags are the worst fanbase on /a/ and I find them entertaining. I have never seen people so obsessed with complete garbage. The level of pseudo intellectual mumbo jumbo in these threads is comedy gold.
Arc lost her virginity to consensual love making in the missionary position.
Reminder that Arcueid, and only Arcueid, makes love to the MC because she wants to, not because there was some bullshit magical reason.
It really isn't tbqh. Let's be fair, the only things Tsukihime does better is not flooding you with infodumps at the start, and the creepy moments (better than any in HF). Oh, and Eclipse >>> Last Epishit.
Otherwise... it has an incomparably worse protagonist (as a character, you might still find him more entertaining), a generally shallower cast, wasted characters/plotlines (Nero, Sachiin), and a much, much weaker climax/final route (the story peaked at the end of Hisui's). Not even gonna mention the art/music.
It's still a very good VN and an essential classic for Type-Moon, but Fate was a definitive improvement in almost every way. We already know the remake fixes some of these issues, so let's hope they go all out to make it their best VN yet.
But Tsukihime doesn't even have the best girl
