I think there was supposed to be some kind of parallelism between LadyLady and MireixMamori. Like LadyLady being an older couple that already put their shit together while Mirei and Mamori are still figuring out things. LadyLady can fuse just like Mirei and Mamori do on the last episode after all. The development was almost absent and there wasn't a pay-off though
