The anime was pretty shit. The manga is pretty damn good. it lacks the typical predictability of most media. People die that you never expected, people live that you never expected. The characters are semi-well developed. It's not like, the best thing ever, but it's solidly in the 75% percentile for shōnen.
This last chapter actually has me really excited and feeling quite hopeful for a change vs the normally darker chapters.
