Categories include best anime, worst anime, most surprising anime, most disappointing anime, best OP, best ED, best OST, best girl, best seiyuu, shows watched, and shows dropped.

Maybe it was just a weak season, but Death Parade dominated the competition. The only thing people liked more than the show was its OP.
It was also the season of the anime original, with Death Parade and RollingGirls snatching up almost all of the positive awards.
Megumi was especially impressive this season, as she managed to overcome the flawed and lazy tallying system to take both first and second place, no wonder Sanai's waifu wars were so intense.
With Winter over we got some actual competition in Spring:

KyoAni proves that they've still got it, grabbing AOTS on the strength of their unparalleled ability to produce best girls and blatant yuri baiting.
However, despite being a music anime that's also actually about music, it was beaten in every single musical award by Kekkai Sensen.
Etotama may have only won a handful of AOTS votes, but it still managed to surprise everyone with 3DCG that didn't suck ass. Too bad the sales made this zombie franchise even more dead.
Nagato Yuki-chan wasn't the worst anime this season, but that didn't stop it from pissing Haruhifags off to no end.

Surprising no one, NNB takes AOTS and heals our weary souls. What might surprise you is that fewer than half of you actually watched it, making it the least watched show to win AOTS.
/a/ sure loves trainwrecks. Charlotte, despite getting WAOTS and DOTS, still managed to garner the highest viewership this season and a sizeable number of votes in all other categories.
Rokka no Yuusha is the Strongest Surprise of the Season, either because it kicked its fantasy setting out in favor of Batman solving mysteries or because it was a LN adaptation that was actually faithful to the source right up to the hook for a sequel that we'll never see animated.
In stark contrast to the comfy OSTOTS, Papa Bones' loud electro won OP and ED OTS.
With Sakurada Akane, Kasuga Ayumu won over our hearts and our dicks with more flat, twintailed goodness. I'm sure the incest didn't hurt either.

There was fierce competition between the top five this season, but OPM still wins an overwhelming victory in several categoriies. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the sheer number of people that watched it.
Osomatsu-san proves that you don't even need a full season to surprise us. Just hope the second half can keep it up.
Despite having less than half the viewers, GochiUsa manages to put a dent in OPM's winning streak with lolis and rock paper scissors. It also managed to produce 3 strong candidates for best girl and would have won if this poll wasn't so broken.

But before you start shitposting about the results, here are some alternative measures that address some of the more common complaints so that you can damage control even harder.

This is what the AOTY - Weighted field is for. It takes the total number of votes a show received (filtered to those who also filled out the Completed field) and divides it by the percentage of people who gave it a shot (completed + dropped). This equalizes the votes as if each show had the same viewership.
That makes it a bit more fair, but it also introduces inaccuracies from the lower sample size (a lot of people didn't bother with the completed fields) and has a tendency to skew extremely low viewership shows to unrealistic numbers.
3 - Soukyuu no Fafner: Exodus 2, with 1 vote and 2.01% viewership, totalling 50 weighted votes
3 - Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono: Spin-off Puru Purun Sharumu to Asobou, with 1 vote and 2.01% viewership, totalling 50 weighted votes
3 - Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka??, with 21 votes and 28.19% viewership, totalling 50 weighted votes
2 - Hibike! Euphonium, with 46 votes and 54.70% viewership, totalling 53 weighted votes

So, while results end up a lot closer with this method, it doesn't unseat the really big titles.

My only issue with Euphonium is that there is no way high school students play that well. I was in the best band of our state and we didn't sound even close to that.
