The anime was good. The VAs were perfect, the animation was well above average throughout most of the show, the characters were portrayed well, and overall it was a fun watch.
The only people who say opm is bad (including the ONE and Murata versions) are hipsters bandwagoning on the new thing to hate, or shitposters trying to bait replies
This isn't like with naruto and SAO where the show is legitimately bad and hating it is justified and reasonable. It's just another case of /a/'s tendancy to hate anything just because it got popular.

The biggest problem with the OPM anime was that the comedy took a backseat to the action. That's not surprising, though. Murata's version is like that, and the anime even more so. It's understandable, though. From an artist/animator's perspective, it's fun to draw silly action scenes. People also get a lot more excitement out of a splashy action scene than they do a well-executed joke, even if the latter makes them bust a gut. The action stuff also has broader appeal from a sales point of view.
I enjoyed the OPM anime. I wouldn't call it the best of the year or anything, but it wasn't a bad show, even if it is popular amongst some annoying people.
