The blandest show I've seen in years. Only the astronomy porn saved it, because the characters were all pastel coloured ciphers and the conflict had no tension whatsoever.

It's "case of the week" writing (the laziest kind of writing you can find in any medium) and you never saw any actual grounded consequence of their actions because all of it has no impact on how the character acts with regards to the mission (which is the main interest). The development happened outside of the plot.
In the first season of Nanoha, the hunt was important but the girls' personalities revealed something of a much deeper importance and interfered with their missions, effectively creating deeper conflict and making the plot evolve. In HnP, it all stayed the same no matter what bland character presentation and dev happened.Which was then reverted by the ending.

The plot lost me around episode 10 as well, but that didn't decrease my enjoyment at all.
The crazy space adventures were all I needed to get pumped, and i love how they up the ante each episode.

why did subaru want to make an anime anyways, is the CEO a big Gainax fan? I thought there was surprisingly little product placement in the show, it would have been fun to have more car references, they were some of the funniest bits.

Always nice to see some Pleiades love. The airing threads were half the fun too. Shame it didn't get much recognition since so many wrongly dismissed it as a blatant car ad.

The finale wrapped everything up so nicely and that departure scene with the girls was so touching that I can't help but pick it.

Tie between Subaru and Nanako.
Nanako's silly yet stoic demeanor was very endearing but Subaru was cute as fuck and her chats with Minato were always a pleasure to watch

They really did a fantastic job with the last episode. I think my favorite episode might be episode 4 because I really love that dream sequence between Hikaru and Subaru.
My favorite girl would have to be Subaru. I really like how they portrayed her as a genki girl with a tinge of loneliness. It helped me really get invested in the relationships she formed with the other characters.

Not sure but there isn't any offensively bad animation or art in the TV release aside from the CGI which is used quite sparingly for wide shots and less relevant scenes. I say go for it because the BDs won't be completely subbed for a while yet.
