I am absolutely certain Mushishi wouldn't gain much from giving Ginko a travelling partner. Part of why it works so well is because Ginko is such a free-spirited soul and if he had to worry about a partner every time something happened the episodes would lose some of their charm or at least become something very different.

There's not much to debate or even complain, it's been fully adapted and there's not much of a overarching story. Be thankful there isn't any shitposts for this masterpiece.
I've been wondering something. Nui said that the creatures affected by the mushi Ginko and Tokoyami would eventually lose their second eye and disappear right? So will this happen to Ginko as well in due time or is he safe since he moved away from the pond where the Tokoyami lives?

I thought the second season was weaker than the first because a lot of story lines revolved around Ginko telling someone to not rely on Mushi, them ignoring him, then regretting it.
