he is dead, let it go
>>
>>135406975
His father dont pass the imortality bullshit for him? Fuck, watched this 4 years a go.
>>
>>135406975
Just who are you quoting?
>>
>>135406975
There is no answer. They set it up so he could be alive or dead but didn't actually put in solid evidence one way or the other.
>>
>>135406975
>it ain't me starts playing in the background
>>
>>135408751
Didn't the director/writer say he was dead like a month after the anime finished? It really ruined all the fun speculation people were doing at the time.
>>
>>135410226

Ya he confirmed it. People want to ignore it so that they can push the fantasy that L is still alive with C.C his soulmate.
>>
>>135406975
No, he's inside one of the horses idiot.
>>
Code Geass was desperate tryhard shit.
>>
Why would they be driving horse carts when they live in an era with giant mechas?
>>
>>135410446
Why did most of the things in Code Geass happen?
>>
>>135410446
Same reason we still live in a world where we can send space probes to Pluto and have rural areas that use them
>>
>>135410446
because if you were one of the numbers you were treated like shit and probably couldn't afford anything like a mech
>>
>>135410531
>haha let's explain my geass powers by pretending to order Euphemia to kill all the japanese woops
>>
>>135410446

Amish way of life is unchanging. Therefore the Amish religion is true religion
>>
I really miss Code Geass. It had ambition and flair, something increasingly rare in shows nowadays.
>>
>>135410285
>Ya he confirmed it.
>>
>>135410682

The fallout from that was beyond hilarious. I'd go so far as to say it was one of the top-5 shitstorms in /a/ history.
>>
>>135410696

No it had cheap plot twists, terrible characters, ass pulls every couple of episodes and one of the most forced endings I ever seen.

Look it is okay to like the show but don't hail it as some great anime when objectively it was decent if not sub par. Though I can admit that season 1 far surpasses the mess that was season 2.
>>
Terrible anime but probably the most fun i've ever had on this website
>>
>>135410743
I liked both but will agree R2 had some serious fuck ups in the plot telling. Lelouch seriously used or didn't use his geass properly multiple times.
>>
>>135410696
I miss anime originals with budget. It's so much more fun without LN fags and mangafags telling you what's going to happen, what was cut out, etc. The fun of those threads was the speculation, anticipation and subsequent shitstorm when something happened.
>>
>>135410446
>>135410682
Thing is, this is a lot easier to explain than that.

It's very clearly meant to make people debate that Lelouch could have survived the end of Code Geass plausibly, as in by anime standards.
>>
>>135410743
There is nothing forced about the ending other than your inability to get it. You call everything cheap or ass pulls even if it is easy to explain.

It would be decent if you don't count entertainment value, which should in fact be counted, since that was a lot of what the show was going for in both seasons.

To argue otherwise is to go to a party and complain about the furniture instead of dancing.
>>
>>135406975
Code had some serious plot holes near the end but it still ranks among some of my favorite anime to watch
>>
>>135410807
I think a lot of the time some people pretend that Lelouch could have used his Geass in ways which the guy would never actually want to do, which is basically blaming him for not doing what they would personally do, instead of thinking how the character does. Not to mention they suggest stuff that wouldn't work like thinking Lelouch could go on a plane to Britannia and not get his ass kicked by the Emperor.
>>
>>135410945

>You call everything cheap or ass pulls even if it is easy to explain.

Never exchanged a conversation online or even knows me, yet somehow can proclaim I call everything cheap or an ass pull just because I criticized one anime.

/a/ is a board filled with autists. Fucking hell.
>>
>>135410226

The director did not say anything of the sort.

The writer did say that Lelouch was killed, but he didn't say anything about him being dead. Which is the whole mystery, since even the survival theory has to rely on him being killed off first.

Nothing ruined any fun speculation other than vocal retards who misinterpret what the staff said in order to claim otherwise.
>>
>>135411009
Then leave
>>
>>135410285
He confirmed no such thing.

Especially when he wasn't even being asked about the actual subject and his answer doesn't conflict with the survival theory.
>>
>>135411036

Why because a retard can't argue and so he talks utter drivel? No I will stay and see what you cretins can come up with as a discussion.
>>
>>135410446
Why did the German Army of WWII still use carts with horses even after they had tanks and trucks?
>>
>>135411009
Considering you are pushing that opinion as a truth onto other people, your own autism is not exactly too low.
>>
>>135410446
Monkeys evolved into humans but there are still monkeys around. Just because horses evolved into cars doesn't mean that all the horses will be gone.
>>
>>135411073
"This is bad"
"No, it's not"
"Grrr, you bastards can't discuss anything!"
>>
Just like with the new Star Wars movie, people will call anything they don't like a plot hole.
>>
>>135411104
>>135411146

Samefag. Amusing.
>>
>>135410743
I bet you haven't been watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure lately.
>>
>>135411236
What exactly are you doing?
>>
>>135411144
How can horses evolve to car? Car is living being?
>>
>>135411204
R2 didn't have so many plot holes as it just had a rushed plot points in critical times without really explaining the reasoning for the decision like R1 did.

Honestly R2 isn't that bad stand alone but when compared to R1 it looks week

REMINDER
>>
>>135411297
You need to watch Adolescence of Utena.
>>
>>135411316
It's because R2 wastes a lot of time early on during semi-recycled stuff that didn't really need to be repeated other than to introduce new people into the show If those episodes had been 100% new material, instead of only like 40%, things would work better.
>>
Pretty good anime. I like it even more on rewatch. You get a small bunch of shows trying to be Code Geass but I can never get into them.
>>
>>135411370
Yeah the first 3 or 4 episodes were all "hey this is why X is if you haven't seen R1 yet"; when it should have just picked up with all new material from episode 1.5
>>
Will we get a new Code Geass series after Akito finishes?
>>
>>135410743
>>135410807
Wrong opinions.
>>
>>135406975
He really is the cart driver.

The cart is in purgatory. He and CC died at the end of Code Geass.
>>
>>135410782
I enjoyed it without even watching it with /a/. I think you just have shit taste, my friend.

>Even if he's alive we'll never see a sequel ever

>>135411609
I don't know how anybody can take R2 seriously, I think even the writers gave up by the time they gave Lelouch his fabulous emperor outfit.
>>

>"People die when they are killed".jpg
>>
>>135411505
Code Geass is still popular in Japan and Akito sold well, so I am sure they will announce a new project, whether it's a series or something else, within the year.
>>
>>135411776
R2 doesn't even take itself seriously, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. I don't think the writers gave up or anything, but rather were just having a lot of fun going along for the ride.

I do give them credit for still making a few moments that did have impact, but their priority was entertainment, period, so there is no shame in having fun when the series is so clearly aiming for it.
>>
>>135412025
This is a show where C.C gets shot multiple times and technically dies.
