There's a manga about a dude who likes a girl, involved in an accidents and then woke up from coma a year later. His face suffered 3rd degree burns so the doctors have to do guesswork on how to redo his face. His new face? The same as the girl that he had crush on (from the picture that with him during the accidents). When the girl saw him (with the new face), said girl actually thought that the girl is her twins what ran from home because her parents didn't approve of her being a beautician.
Long story short, her long lost sister came home again to confront the impostor (that guy). At first, she thought of him badly(thinking that he's some sick guy who do plastic surgery to get close of her sister), but after learning the truth (and that he finally muster the courage to confess to her), the sister finally relents and supportive of their relationship (and because she want to pursue her dream as a make up artist and want to keep her sister in care of that guy. For the time being)

I don't think he did't know how to continue, I got the impression that he had planned out the story very thoroughly from early on, but then later decided he wanted something different to happen, which lead to the second half becoming gradually worse as he tried to force it down an unnatural path. I don't think it was incoherent, though. It still made sense, even if it began to require a suspension of disbelief in order to gain any enjoyment from it in the later parts. I still remember how embarrasingly handled the death scenes at the start of the last volume were. I did still like the last chapter, at least, despite how cliched it was, because I thought thePeople Get Readyscene was nicely done.
