normally I'm a hardcore subfag, but I've seen a lot of praise for the dub of this anime. Is it actually superior to the original Japanese in this case, or is it simply above the usual crap that dubs tend to be? Is there anything in the raw that isn't in the dub? Are the voice actors more competent than usual? Will hearing "Brother!" all the time be more annoying than a barrage of "Nii-san!"?
I've read and enjoyed the manga, and because the setting is so similar to Europe I've imagined everybody with German or English accents, I'd just like to know if the quality of the sub/raw audio is worth the juxtaposition of seeing a white and delicious brown cast only speak nipponese

The dubs are better than the subs in this case. In the sub Edward sounds like a 6 year old consistently yelling throughout the entire series and than the other voice actors sound on part with the seiyuu counter parts

It's fucking subjective holy god. No matter what, you'll get people calling people who preferred the dub dubfags and the people who prefer subs weeaboos. I liked FMAB's sub better and I feel like it portrays a lot of characters better. Does that mean it's objectively better? Hell no it's your fucking opinion. Watch the first episode dubbed and see if you liked it. Never ask the damn internet on how good it is unless it's one of those so bad it's good dubs.
