What's the best codec pack and is there any difference between them?
Been using CCCP for many years but started seeing some problems with sub timings on the same show from multiple sub groups, so thinking of switching, since it might be codec related. Any tips?

Just download madvr and LAV filters. The other filters are just memes, you don't need them.

If you want to use KCP, just manually update your MadVR/Splitters, they're almost always outdated by few versions.

Kind of in the same area, but xysubfilter is what enables you to take screenshots with subs, correct?
It used to work before but then it didn't for some reason despite reinstalling it but when I downloaded KCP it started working again.

Downloaded the latest rar of MadVR from their website, and yet the KCP seems to have a more recent version of it.
Just get the latest ones from doom9 forum for lav/madvr/xysubfilter.

You need to uninstall older madvr version first using the .bat file then install the newer version but put the newer version files/folder somewhere easy to remember since the installation wont copy the files automatically inside the kcp installation folder (if any)

You only need MadVR's "setting.bin", otherwise all MadVR/LAV files are redundant, just delete them/copy them over when updating and you're done with MadVR, for LAV filters you just need to run each "install_audio.bat"/"install_splitter.bat"/"install_video.bat" each time you're updating.

I'm not sure overwriting it is the best way to go. Just uninstall madvr using the bat, put the new madvr files inside a new folder in the kcp installation folder and run the new version install bat from there. I guess. Never used kcp myself.
