Krispy Kreme donuts are actually terrible donuts. That cream filling shit overpowers the donut's flavorful charm. It doesn't work with the dough to achieve greater heights like a nice glaze or a carefully allotted frosting. It simply takes over as the treat, so that there's little point to the donut besides being a package for the lard sugar that so inconveniently hides your goal behind a very thin flaky layer. While I personally don't care for the stuff, it's trashy over-done sugar porn, I don't blame anyone who cares for such indulgence. Rather I wish simply that they admit that what they enjoy isn't a great, good, or even passable donut. It's just a glob of creamy saccharine fat.
