What part of "Emperor of Pon Palace arc" didn't you get? After Akagi kills his chance of Kokushi he will most likely go for a toi toi hand by calling on Suzuki's discards, or maybe that can happen after he tries to draw Dai San Gen on his own if that's still an option at this point.
Either way we are only a few draws into the last round and Washizu has plenty of ways to win, we have a long way to go yet.

Okay I thought you meant that there will be a new round after where Washizu pons alot. But yes I guess it's possible, normally it's impossible to recover from a failed kokukesi and espacily since Akagi is on a 3 tile wait. Man now when I think about it, you're probably right. It will probably take another year until it's finished.

I recently caught up with Akagi and holy fuck it's amazing. FKMT is truly a god in making so much quality content, I'd read a manga about anything as long as it was his. Wish he had even more series.

Suzuki even mentioned that he should stockpile tiles Washizu could use if Kokushi doesn't work out.
And Akagi is a monthly release, we have plenty of years left before this game finishes.
