That didn't bother me really, but I can agree the show made a couple of missteps. It is still a new favorite of mine overall, but a couple of things felt a little awkward, such as the villain reveal and Amira's personality sort of yo-yoing back and forth. Not to mention exposition pocket dimension dragon.
It's one of those rare series that could have actually stretched out to more than one cour and it would have possibly been even better. A lot of shows, quite frankly, overstay their welcome, and use more episodes as an excuse for shitty pacing. I feel like this one would have utilized it correctly, and with more episodes, we would have gotten more plot spread out over time, while simultaneously getting to know all of the characters better.

Overall I liked this show, also I don't remember that many shows that would have disappointed me worse than this. The show was a solid 9/10 for me before amira got kidnapped, turned into a 5 year old and the whole show taking a turn for the worse. It was one of the better shows of it's season anyhow.
This is the only anime where i actually like the gimmicky loli character, everyone else is an insufferable piece of shit
