Yui is absolutely certain Hachiman doesn't like her. So in vol 11 she has basically given up. She views the 'promise date' as just a burden Hachiman feels obligated to indulge her on. At the end she is trying to set her best friend up with the guy she loves, so she can bow out and disappear.
Basically she's in utter agony. Her attempt to end the impasse was rejected by Hachiman as essentially 'not genuine'. The stage is now set for either her misery to be carried on even further or for her to pull victory from the jaws of defeat.
