I don't understand when people say Manaka had the least development. She started from shy and timid to learning to be assertive, realizing who she really loved and sacrificing herself all before hibernation. She had so much development that they had to take away her capacity to form intimate bonds so that the others could catch up!

The absolute most that would be acceptable is a one or two-part OVA about bestboy and bestgirl's new life in the city.
Aside from that, leave it alone. The show was exceptionally good as a contained package. Trying to force more out of it is just asking for heartbreak/QUALITY/last exile 2 tier bullshit.
