Frieza was largely uncontested in strength, and basically a space pirate who took over planets and enslaved or killed the people who lived there.
He was a huge bastard, and it made sense for the Saiyans to want to fight him and end him, considering their history with him. It really isn't unreasonable to believe him as a villain. He was filled with hubris because literally no one was at his level so he could pretty much do whatever he wanted.
Cell was a home-grown villain that was a vehicle for some guy's revenge scheme. So much so that he tracked and observed the Z-Fighters for years, taking that data--and even their genetic makeups--to build the perfect fighter to counteract those who had destroyed him and his army.

It was interesting to read the part where Vados says the population of U6's earth was exterminated.
It makes me think that a saiyan was sent to destroy the earthlings, just like Goku was, but this saiyan did manage to exterminate everyone unlike Goku.

Imperfect Cell was an interesting change of pace. He's running and hiding from the heroes trying to power up in reversal of the Freeza arc, and his more horror elements were new. Then he becomes Semi Perfect and later just perfect and he's just another "I'm convinced I'm stronger then everyone, so lets fight!" Like Tein, King Piccolo, Piccolo Jr., Vegeta and Freeza.
I have no clue why so many people seem to love his perfect form, unless it's just liking the design I guess.

U6 Cell doesn't make sense unless there's a U6 Red Ribbon Army/Dr. Gero. And as we know, U6's Earth has no inhabitants anymore, plus there's no doppleganger characters from other universes. It doesn't make sense for there to be a Cell or a Cell doppleganger in U6.

Buu was eating Kais, Kais are still shown to be extremely important, if Buu was designed to eat them up by babidi, then he was a pretty big threat.
The whole thing where he absorbed what he couldnt defeat meant he was a cosmic level threat that would have had kai related people afraid of him.
If im not mistaken the last seasons are implying Frieza was some kind of subject to Beerus. At this point it wouldnt really surprise me if they claimed frieza "death" moves to be God powered stuff taught to him by beerus.
