If a show wants to be inconsistent, stack Mary Sues into the plot, ignore basic storytelling guidelines, run the idea of the MC being in peril into the ground with constant last minute bullshit saves, have everything be hunkydory in the end, then so be it. I've lowered my standards in everything to the point where as long as I am entertained, the show gets a 10/10
