Shimazu Toyohisa: A samurai from Sengoku Japan. Son of Shimazu Iehisa, that was arguably the best general of the period.
Oda Nobunaga: Nobunaga
Nasu no Yoichi: an archer from the Taira Wars.
But there are Western figures as well. Scipio Africanus, Hannibal, Anastasia, etc

See part of me is really excited, but another part of me knows that the source material isn't finished and it's just gonna have a shitty animeoriginal ending.
Not particularly happy about the visual downgrade in the newer trailer, and really don't see a point in doing a TV anime when there's only like 4 volumes after nearly a decade. I'd much rather see it get the Ultimate treatment and get an OVA for each volume.
