The first three seasons were a chore to watch even though there were parts I enjoyed but once I got to Precure 5, I've been plowing through it. Ah, okay. Suite is the first time (and only time so far) that theme returns but I think you'll find it's really different from the 3 FW series. And yes, Hibiki and Kanade are both gorgeous.
HC is very quirky - I think in good ways - and I imagine you'll like Tsubomi and Erika if you like things so far. Every so often you'll hear from someone here who found HC boring but I'm convinced it's because they don't relate well to human emotion or some such problem.

By the end of Doki, I think. I remembered going in one of the SHT threads, and saw someone saying that the SHT that week was full of suffering and heroic sacrifices, including Precure.
I was curious how that magical girl show for little girls could have suffering in it, so started watching, picked Smile because it had the most fanarts at the time. I enjoyed it somewhat but it didn't really hook me and I took a huge break somewhere in the middle. Only after I finished Smile and started FW that I started to like Precure, and after that HC made me fall completely in love with the series.
Been watching at least 1 ep per day, and I still have around 30 eps of Doki left.

Anyway, I'd totally believe that Precures get better speed/strength from their magical powerup than Jedi get from midiclorians and the Force. I feel like especially a couple of pinks like Nagisa and Mana would just destroy an entire unit of Jedi accompanied by their padawans in pure melee combat.

Noticed the threads during the Doki leak hype. Started with Suite since everyone was shitting on Smile at the time. Liked it enough to watch SS next since everyone said it was the best season, turns out it was shit and made me lose interest in Precure. Stopped being a NEET right after that so I never did watch Doki when it aired. Got back into it when HaCha started and worked my way through Smile, Doki, HC, FW, and MH while watching HaCha weekly. After getting burned out and only watching GoPri this year I've recently started Y5 andDen-O.

I mostly agree. I'd say I strongly looked forward to around 90% of Dokidoki episodes, and that is definitely the highest of any season, but HaCha is no slouch either. I was excited for close to 50% of HaCha's episodes. On the other hand, I've yet to be excited for even one episode of GoPri.

When you have a solid foundation and lead-in, clues that present themselves naturally over time, and then a climax where a character faces their challenge, stumbles, but ultimately overcomes it as you expected, that's good writing. Despite what happens a lot in anime, plot twists aren't the only way to make for an exciting and satisfying arc. Plus, we still have next episode where she has to face her parents and brother. It's one thing to decide for yourself, but totally another to share that with people who have high expectations for you to do something else.
