I haven't seen it in a while but if I remember correctly she was abused by her family? She was not autistic just had some issues.
She was introverted and secluded as fuck due to a lack of relationships with other people. She only had her abusive father and wanted to escape which is why also choose to be male in the game. She didn't want to have anything to do with her "real" self and the real world anymore.
Face it, every anime character is autistic to some degree. People just don't act this way at all.
