I don't understand why people don't like Lucia route. You should've seen unreliable narrator coming considering it's RK07, Lucia lying to you is the whole point of her character.
The only complaint I have about that route is Kotarou being retarded at the end for half an hour. Otherwise the mystery segment was fun, the date was cute and the Shizuru fight scene was amazing.

And her route relies on all the characters acting like complete idiots.

It's wasted potential. Everything you've said is what is good about it but the problem is that the ending was supposed to end with a 'LIVE FOR ME, LIVE FOR LOVE GODDAMN IT' and doesn't nail it properly.
I still maintain that Lucia is the best tsundere ever made. She's your typical physical tsundere, goes from full tsun to full dere, has actually a good reason for why she acts that way, has a personality past her tsun persona and only wants to hold hands.

If you're not going to judge purely from an outcome perspective, I recommend you take into account character motivations, and in case you were too retarded to notice Lucia didn't go looking for Kotarou or Shizuru, they came to her and she just wanted to die from guilt, even though the responsibility wasn't on her. Also, she fought back without intention to kill, just to get them to leave her alone. She was worried when she accidentally cut Shizuru too deep.
