What bothers me is that after getting emotionally invested and on the verge of tears at the end it doesn't feel unique. It feels like an addiction, a mundane feeling I'm seeking to replicate over and over, whereas I don't actually care about the show or the characters. I'm just looking for another emotional high.

So i watch toradora and yeah thats beautiful, thats how love should be and i get tears in my eyes watching and smile at the ending and then i get crushed and depression ruins my day because ITS NOT REAL! It doesnt even exist like that!
