At least 40:1, because I don't enjoy reading manga off my computer screen. I could check more manga out from one of the libraries near me (I did read Buddha and Akira this way, could not have finished either without a physical copy), but when I go to the library there are literally tens of thousands of other books that attract my attention before manga.

I still never got this. I never really thought anime was any better in this regard. Sometimes I find anime just progresses too slow to be enjoyable and I actually get bored. I can understand that you're more interested in other books though.

Hell, I feel like this thread is easy mode. I read all the manga because I can read without disturbing the house, but watching anime requires I'm alone or everyone else in the house is quiet/behaves/watches with me.

It's a pretty shit guideline if you go simply by series, but mostly just a rule of thumb. 1:1 is pretty generous considering oneshots and the average time spent is usually less than a 13 episode anime.

There isn't just animu and mango, we have all these forms of our fix and each anon should try them all atleast once and do what they want.
