There were two really big problems with it. First, it treated kids that weren't even in highschool yet as being adults old enough to make their own life-changing decisions. Like, leave-home-abandon-humanity big decisions. That isn't adulthood, that's called puberty.
Second, the story decided that being a wolf or being a human was a binary choice; the children could only pick one or another. Since so much of the story was about coming to terms with their mixed identity, it was kinda weird that in the last 20 minutes they decided "nah, I'm a human and you're a wolf, the end."
Still a good movie, just a little silly towards the end.
Son became an emo faggot and lived in the woods. Daughter embraced who she was after lots of anxiety and found love. Mother found a loving life in the country, surrounded by nature and caring neighbors.
Son's faggotry could have been avoided, especially that ridiculous tuft of hair over his face in wolf form. Rest of the movie was great though. The only time a werewolf being just a wolf was not disgusting and trash.
