You do realise the reason KyoAni produces such high quality animation every season is because their animators love their jobs, right? They get treated amazing, especially compared to other studios, and they're all working on shows they enjoy, which is why you see a relatively narrow variety genres come out of the studio. For example Free! was *technically* a sports anime, but the actual sport involved had virtually nothing to do with the plot or characters, it was entirely replacable with another central idea.

I'm not seeing that. KyoAni has a lot of different shit going on. Just from their recent stuff
Hibike is sort of an actual, more serious high school drama but more or less, a coming of age story. Amagi was comedy with some fiction.
KnK had action, "character" drama and a little folklore. Tamako was literally a slice of life while the movie was a straight forward coming of age and romance story. Free was sports I guess and Chuuni was also comedy with something something shit tier drama, that raped itself during the second season.
All in all similarities but they do have variety. It's just not a complete 90 degrees turn around every time.
Do not forget.
