20 more days to the newest G Trial Decks. Can't wait to hold Chrono Dran in my hand.
Another "I lost my way" episode, strangely I'm okay with that. The first season deals with Chrono's problems and now that Shion's has been addresed as well makes it fitting for Tokoha to receive the same. Mostly sol but the fight scene is decent. Bushiroad really knows how to introduce their newest support cards. I didn't even think you could use Globe Magus' skill like that. Checking top card BEFORE assigning trigger effects? Total game changer.
Next episode will be Zoo branch quest, hoping for more fights there. Also it looks like Shion is heading the wrong path? Does leading an underground vanguard thug a thing for the edgy character? I mean Kai regularly fought them in the 1st season but that's it.
Also Luna wearing hat next episode.

Depend cards still play a major point in the plot. 3 more cards and based on the previous Gear Bunny thing that Kanzaki(?) made in a lab they're probably starter cards as well. Still hoping for new Chronojet sub-clans though.

The price rise and drop depending on the supports it get. For example Chronos command was like $15 bucks top when it first came out. Now with the new cross stride it rises to around $50.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see that other people are watching Vanguard, though it's weird to me that there's a thread at all.
This new Shion is pretty sweet. He really started to annoy me with how he spent the first season and then some episodes of the second dealing with the same single character flaw. He's a poor man's Akira Toya, and that really showed after he lost all his money.
I don't really play the game anymore but I can't wait for that stupid online client to come out so I can spend real money on imaginary childrens' trading cards instead of real childrens' trading cards.

There will never be closure on amy relationship ever, but Miwa/Misaki is probably only second to Kai/Boypussy in likelihood. The writers really went out of their way to tease the pair in the Link Joker seasons always pairing them up on screen and sending them to the same school.

The worst part of season 4 is that season 3 was actually good and resolved everything. But instead of leaving it there, we get a whole season where nothing of any importance happens.
I disliked season 1 of G but season 2 is shaping up nicely. Ibuki is much better than expected.

At least I've stopped now. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the Pacifica support in the upcoming Fighter's Collection and if the G4 is overly expensive I'm skipping it completely. I have some of the summer versions of it anyway.

I remember trying to explain to someone who used to play back when even Legions weren't a thing yet about how cards are so pricey now and they instantly noped out of trying to get back into the game. God damn.

I stopped watching Vanguard at the start of S4. It was a fun ride, and Aichi's persona and voice makes me rock hard... Kind of why I liked Tales of Xillia so much since Jude is pretty much Aichi.
Also, am I the only one who felt /ss/ vibes from Kourin at first but then found out that she had the same age than Aichi? That was disappointing.

I really appreciate their choice of VA. That soft boy voice instead of some higher pitched voice done by a girl sounds so much better and still fits him really well as he grows up. It's really no wonder so much people liked him, getting such a good voice alone does a lot.

But that's one of the good things about G.
A show should never be entirely about a card game, only use it as a vehicle to tell a story.
Not to mention the play by play in-game speechesYugiohstarted are enough to drag any pace in a story down.
Cardfight is a simple game anyway, they should be using the card games to push some creative battle scenes like in the movie and leave the turn announcements out.

I find it funny how Kai actually managed to mentor Shion just by playing against him and constantly beat him, it's like a total change from when he tried those sort of tactics in the first show. It's kind of cute how bad he is at talking with people even when he wants to help.
And yes I like the Miwa/Misaki ship but I don't think it will go anywhere.

I actually liked the idea of S4, at least of having Kai become the protagonist for a proper redemption arc, but the problem is that with just as the Quatre Knights as the enemies, the series could do much and they had to have them keep beating the heroes and it just got stale fast. They really needed to think more about the plot and I never got why the Quatre Knights even tried to fight Kai and friends.
