It would stop him momentarily, but I think his power would just reroute itself and would only need 4 fingers, meaning that if shigaraki notices that, he'd cut off at least 2 finders on each hand to make his power activate faster and eliminate weak points.

Here's the short version of the ultimate badguy's story:
-Quirks showed up ~150ish years ago if Horikoshi is using the generally accepted definition of "generation".
-Society naturally went through an Xmen style upheaval but thankfully a bit less nasty for the "mutants" since the "x-gene" of MHA manifested in 80%+ of the population instead of 1%.
-All For One has the quirk to take quirks from others and either use them himself, or pass them on to others. He nearly takes over the country from the shadows by "saving" people with quirks by removing them, and making super monsters (noumus) by stuffing their quirks into willing or unwilling victims.
-All For One had a brother who was weak, and presumed quirkless. For some reason (either pity, or to gain control of him), All For One gave him a super strength quirk that slowly gathers power over time.
-The truth is, his brother DID have a quirk. A useless quirk whose only gimmick was the ability to pass itself on at the will of the user. The power gathering quirk and his combined to form One For all.
-The brother knew he wasn't strong enough to beat All For One, so he passed his quirk onto someone he felt worthy.
-8 bearers later, it arrives at Midoriya.
-All Might's sire is mortally wounded by All For One and passes OFA on to All Might, who then manages (he THINKS) to kill All For One 5 years ago while taking the wounds that have destroyed his body.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Deku's generation is said to be made up almost exclusively of children with quirks, which makes me think that the 20% of quirkless people is mostly made up of the folks from the older generations where quirks weren't as common. From that I'd imagine that 150 years before, the population of people with quirks would be much smaller.

We all tend to agree that BnHA is shounen cliche done right, but Horikoshi is serving up something not quite cliche - the rise of a mighty villain.
It's pretty simple when you think about it, instead of showing the trials and self-doubts a protagonist goes through to become a hero, we are seeing the same developments, except in Shigaraki's case he descends deeper into villainy.
What do you guys think will be the end-game? Will AFO be the final boss? Or will Shigaraki supplant him and assume that role?
Of course that's assuming Horikoshi doesn't fuck this up by trying to redeem him with a PTA-friendly turn of events.

Midnight was suppose to be Class A teacher but was swap for Aizawa because he was more fitting and Snipe originally appear to be an important character in BnHA one-shot despite having little screen time in the manga. I just think that any design he came up with but couldn't find a use to put into the story he will just made them teachers at U.A. so they wouldn't be left out entirely.
That just a guess though, I personally hope we do get to see more of the other teachers because Snipe design is too good not to use.

Fixed up some translation and grammar errors because nightmares of shitty grammar past will comes back to haunt me if I don't.
Especially page 08. My efforts to emulate the tone of a troubled teenage girl struggling to come to terms with her budding emotions concerning a certain young man severely degraded my mental functions.
I really do enjoy how Horikoshi handled Ochako's reaction to Shigaraki. I don't think I've ever seen the main cast of a Shonen series handle a dangerous situation so calmly, or that their first response is to call the police.
The realism is a nice touch.

Apparently 心地 together means "sensation" or "feeling", so another interpretation of his name would be "the feeling of the explosion", though that would read differently.

The things she touches float pretty damn slowly, but yes, unless you have some way of manoeuvring in the air you're fairly screwed.
She's pretty unlucky in her year. Baku, Iida, Deku, Aoyama and probably Todoroki and Momo can use recoil to fly around; Shouto can fly with his tentacle wings and Fumikage might be able to fly with shadow wings, while Sero and Froppy can pull themselves around with their tape and tongue. About half her class are effectively immune to her quirk.

Ochako has one of the more interesting quirks honestly. Just cause you can't make your opponent float directly doesn't mean she's totally screwed. She could, say, make a broken piece of ground or platform float from underneath her enemy, and have them either have to adjust for balance (thereby limiting movement) or sacrifice balance and be subjected to gravity. Shit could be quite dangerous, even if they only fall 5 feet.

A shonen series focused on alchemy? That could be really interesting. But instead, everything he makes gets cancelled left and right.
