you should be ok, don't try to be a perfectionist, focus on what is the focal points of the image and the direction the eye follows, and try to not make things too busy looking by putting too much stuff in the image, negative space is usually a good thing.
heres an example I just drew up in a couple minutes of someone sitting at a table
you may notice that each pose will gently persuade you look at slightly different place, but the table is also part of the gesture as you can see in the second set of images.
in the second waving image I feel more compelled to look to the right of the person waving rather than directly at them in comparison to the first waving image, while in the second head touching image, I'm more compelled to look at their torso rather than follow the curve to their face.
with the last two I'm not sure where I should be looking, though I think the one on the left is more servicable than the one on the right at a glance, but depending on a later sketch of the poses, one could possibly have the hand gesturing towards something on the table, which would become the focus of the image, of giving a thumbs up with a smirk
the flow can change at every stage so it's always good to be open minded during these planning stages
