Is death by anything besides the Princess Disappearances optional in Horizon? We have ghosts of people running around and now an entire city of people that committed suicide but stayed around as Living Bones. What does it take to for sure kill someone in this series?

Ghosts are people with things that they left undone and feel a deep lingering affection for this world, so once they feel satisfied they dissapear.
Living Bones are odd, it seems that many times they are mischevious spirits that aren't even inhabiting their original bodies but a random skeleton they found. And Living Dead usually usually lack free will, but there are some exceptions.
As a rule, ghosts and other returned doesn't seem that common, they are something that arise from some specific circumstances.

As far I undertood, that helps Toshiie to use Israfil the way he does (Kaga Million Geist) but it needs Matsu to be supplied with ether constantly so she doesn't just vanish.
