Love & Pop is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Anyone who is a fan of End of Evangelion will probably like it; it deals with similar themes in the same Anno-esque way. The creative directing is also phenomenal. It also features some voice work by Misato, Rei, and Kaworu's seiyuu.
I definitely recommend watching it if you've got some free time on your hands.

Love & Pop is not bad, but it is far from being great. It is interesting if you are into his works, but on its own it is just a forgettable jap movie.

It may have struck me harder since I read the book it was originally adapted from and I can relate more to the content.
But I wouldn't say it's forgettable in terms of nip movies; most Japanese movies never go such a crude route.

I've seen Shiki-Jitsu. I enjoyed the visuals and dumb rambling about art and life, but didn't really care for the characters. All in all it was alright, and I wish I could find a version in 1080p.

Where does one even download Japanese non-anime movies? The usual sites for western movies often don't have the more obscure ones at all, and if they do nobody fucking seeds. I waited for like a month for one person to upload shiki-jitsu.
