I think it's fair to consider Haise and Kaneki as different people, especially if the fact that Haise is weaker than Kaneki is due to Haise not accepting his ghoul side. I think the Nishiki fight did a great job at pointing out the difference between the two. And now the Kanae fight did the same thing, Haise gets beaten up, Kaneki comes back and wins.
