That's no kind of logic at all. Also, that's not how the cure powers work anyway. The powers come from the fairies in splash star. Saki and Mai were just borrowing their powers from Flappy and Choppy all along. And it wasn't until Moop and Foop warmed up with Saki and Mai that they even could become Bright and Windy. Michiru and Kaoru have an arguably deeper relationship with Moop and Foop than Saki and Mai do with their own fairies. But most important here is just that, they are in fact Cure Bright and Cure Windy, unless you didn't watch it to the end.

Where do you all get your precure from? Ive been wanting to get into it, so grabbed all the random batches from nyaa/bakabt but for the most part all are either private/dead. The only ones Ive managed to get have been Smile, Heartscatch, Futari, one movie, and the later half of splash (no one is seeding the first 13 episodes). Not even getting anyone for All Stars/ Suite/ 5/ and most of the movies. Sort of depressing.

Literal Chinese cartoons almost always include burned-on Chinese subtitles on the video itself for some reason. It extends to live-action Chinese dramas and movies too. I think they even get them on the big screen even if the original language is Chinese.
That's one advantage of subbing Chinese cartoons that not much people think about. It only requires knowledge of READING the language, not SPEAKING or HEARING the language like the approach taken with most Japanese anime. Plus, it means bilingual subs too, so that's a big plus.
