Currently reading the Hot Road manga and it's pretty interesting, it's pretty confusing like your usual old school manga were I have no idea who is talking at any given times but you get used to it I guess. Guess the fact that it's a shoujo and a coming of age story makes it really hard for me to relate and understand the fucking weird way of thinking of the main character but it's slowly picking up.
These old school shoujo seems to deal with a lot of taboo subjects really smoothly, like pregnancy, abortions, sexuality, drugs, it's not like I've read many but compared to to every other shonen delinquen't I've read none of those tackle any of these subjects in such a serious level.
Some dude doing crack for example, pretty believable, not your usual sticking a needle through the eye to get high and spouting foam on the mouth bullshit.
