I think its the most recent matches since they are listed in chronological order. Since Yuzu vs Sergey, Yuya vs Shinji, and Shun vs Crow happened in that order.
The X next to Shun probably either symbolises his loss to Crow while the fact that Yuya's name is highlighted in orange shows that he won against Shinji.
Though I kinda hope Shun isn't in the Xyz Trio considering he's done so much more than the rest of the Lancers. If its Yuya, Yuzu and Reiji then it would enable Yuya and Reiji to interact and try and get along better, while Yuzu will actually get to speak to Reiji (even Anzu had interacted more with Kaiba than Yuzu had with Reiji).
I think Shun will be defeated by Yuri and get carded, but he will debut the long awaited Rank 12 Raidraptor in that duel so it would be amazing. It would literally basically be ARC-V's closest thing to Kaiser vs Yubel. Though part of me thinks Yuri is more likely to duel Jack and card him than Shun, if only because Yuri crushing Jack would impact the Synchro Dimension harder.

Why do people think Clear Wing will get an upgrade? Dark Rebellion didn't get one because its upgrade was Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon, because Yuya is the one who gets the upgrades. Meaning Yugo won't have an upgraded Clear Wing. On that note, if Yuto ever got more Xyzs then they would probably be Phantom Knights that are Rank 3/4, just like how Yugo would have Clear Wing and then a bunch of Speedroid Synchros.
However when Yuya gets Clear Wing, he somehow make a Pendulum Synchro monster using it and Odd-Eyes by making one of them a Tuner and lowing its Level a bit using the inevitable two new Magicians Yuya will get then, since he got Creation and Destruction when he got Odd-Eyes Rebellion so he'll need two new Magicians for the Pendulum Synchro.
For this reason, I doubt Yuri will have an upgraded Fusion until Yuya gets Yuri's Fusion Dragon, then gets a Pendulum Fusion monster.

Though I think Siegfried should have been Level 9 or Level 10 (with 3000 ATK) since you could use the Level 6 DDs (Temujin most notably) or the Level 7s like Leonidas/Alexander (and D'Arc, but you wouldn't use her as material since she's too important).

I don't think Reiji is from Academia. He gets out-keikaku'd but is too immature to admit that, so he acts like it was all part of his plan. It is like when Yuya was sad/angry and he would put on a fake laugh/smile just so others think he is okay.
Though Sora did think that Reiji's Fusion Summoning was a true Fusion Summon. If a true Fusion user is someone from Academia (by Reiji's own words to Shun in episode 27), then Temujin being real would support that. IIRC, Sora never commented on Alexander or Caesar and even said that Reiji's cards are "different".

Considering that Reiji described the DDDs (directly being Temujin, Alexander and Caesar) as the kings who rule the different dimensions way back in episode 12, Reiji wanting to rule all four dimensions wouldn't be that surprising.
Reminder that Reiji originally opposed Leo for abandoning him and Himika, and it had nothing to do with Academia being evil back then. In other words, Reiji doesn't like that Leo didn't INCLUDE both Reiji and Himika in his plans. I don't think Reiji even knew the specifics of what happened in the Heartland Invasion until Yuto explained it in episode 36. So until episode 36, Reiji was opposing Leo because Leo didn't want Reiji involved (helping) him.
