Ideon had a worse series than Eva but a much better film. I don't even like Eva, but Ideon's episodes felt repetitive as hell and dragged on way too long. Be Invoked actually took the series' potential and did something with it, and it had some god-tier character deaths and a more successful atmosphere of dread, but I can't say it was worth sitting through 40 episodes of boring mecha fight after boring mecha fight.
