Reminder that Evangelion was just average by 80s and 90s standards. Anyone who considers Evangelion to be the best anime has only seen less than 10 other anime, all of which were made after 2000.

As someone who has watched over 500 series from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s, I can guarantee that your opinion is factually incorrect.
I love how the entire series was just to build Shinji up as much as possible and then break him as hard and as fast as possible.
