They've foreshadowed it pretty strongly in Aiz's manga, what with them both being orphaned at the same time, her memories of her father bearing a strong physical resemblance to Bell, and the fact that they've both been the fastest to level 2, plus Bell mistaking her for his mother as he comes to.

Not at the same time, Aiz is older than Bell to begin with and is possibly half-Spirit. She is talented and reached level 2 in one year fighting like a berserker, Bell did thanks to his skill in 2 weeks. Albert's appearance has never been described in the LN and no one found they looked alike. It's the choice of the artist. It's clearly said in the book that he felt so good it was like he was in the arms of his mother. Yes she has daddy issues. Aiz's existence and birth itself is a mystery because her mother should not be able to procreate since she's a Spirit. She's possibly some kind of artificial creature.

Both the main and Gaiden novels are put on hold until 2016 spring. There's literally no reason to do this because the author has proven time and again that he can write very fast. Last time they pooled the books together for consecutive releases was for the first anime.
